First Aid – Essentials for Children

The Course targets all lay responders such as parents, caregivers, guardians, domestic workers, or family members of a child at high risk for sudden death, and other laypersons wanting to learn first aid essentials for children. The Course provides hands-on practice in the skills of first aid for children in the home, including prevention, medical emergencies, trauma injuries, environmental emergencies, CPR, choking and the use of Automated External Defibrillators. After completing the course, each participant will receive a certificate of attendance. A 20-page student Workbook is provided to each participant for review before, during and after the Course This course is an attendance only course and is not accredited the Department of Labour

First Aid – Level 1
This is a minimum requirement by the Department of Labour for Occupational Health and Safety Regulations.

First Aid – Level 2
This is the next step in your first aid career after completing Level 1.

Some companies and regulations will require learners to have a level 2 qualification due to the nature of their roles or responsibilities. Learners need to be 14 years old or above to complete this course due to the amount of work covered.

Requirements
Level One Certificate unless, Level One course material is combined and the course is extended to 32 hours to accommodate the additional information. This option would be costed on request.

First Aid – Level 3
Also known as Advanced First Aid, Level 3 is the highest first aid qualification obtainable.

Learners are normally required to have a level 2 prior to doing this course, however, a level 1-3 combined course can be arranged if needed.
